Canada is a country of no conflict yet aid alongside Nato out of no choice 

Pro-Russian & Chinese support in Africa & growth in in areas internationally & in North America leaves us disinterested in the risk in which presents itself in World War 3

EU - Nato & 5 Eyes versus China - Russia alongside allies on both sides
